Natural gas is a major energy source that is plentiful in the US and a significant amount is lost every year due to flaring, leakage from well-heads and pipelines, of which impact the carbon foot print.
Energid Energy identifies those areas with shut-in gas, stranded gas wells or gas that is a by-product of oil production. It is Energid’s business to own this natural gas resource in order to control its feedstock for generating electricity.
Energid’s first properties, Slammer and Six Corners, are located in Leavenworth County, Kansas in an area with shallow gas and oil. Energid’s asset includes over 60 gas wells, five oil wells, 70 miles of pipeline and a tap into the Southern Star (division of GE) interstate pipeline system.
Energid is also developing two underground natural gas storage facilities within its existing reservoirs. These will provide significant on-demand natural gas for electricity generation.
